Reliance On ALLAH, (The Most Critical Discipline Of All), Part 1.

Relying on ALLAH is a matter of critical importance in the life of a Muslim, through it a believer can gain tremendous strength by realizing that no creation on the face of this earth can be of a benefit to him or even to itself except with the permission of ALLAH. If a creation as weak as a fly takes anything from a human, he wouldn't be able to take it back, even if he gathers all other humans to his cause.

Relying on ALLAH instills in the Muslim the courage to stand up for the truth and voice it at all times, regardless of who disagrees or who is displeased, he knows that the pens have been lifted and the ink has dried on what is to happen. And that whatever befalls him was not meant to miss him, and whatever missed him was not meant to befall him, so he's never subdued by peer pressure, public opinion or what society deems as acceptable because his sustenance, his livelihood, his needs, his wants, his concerns...he leaves them all to the one in whose hand is the ownership of the heavens and the earth.

Fears and weaknesses we often experience come from our seeking of help and sustenance from the creation, who subjects us to compromises and humiliation, Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings be upon him) said: "whenever someone opens for himself a door of asking, ALLAH opens up for him a door of humiliation."

Much of the humiliation our Umma faces today, is from its lack of reliance on ALLAH along with its psychological defeat in front of its enemies. History has proven this to be a timely lesson, that whenever people rely on ALLAH alone, have full faith in him through their statements and actions, ALLAH surely grants them victory and authority over the land.

ALLAH says in the QURAN:

"ALLAH has promised those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that he will certainly grant them succession in the land, as he granted it to those before them, and that he will grant them the authority to practice their religion which he has chosen for them. And he will surely replace them with safety and security after their fear."

The prophet of ALLAH Ibrahim (may peace and blessings be upon him) was persecuted for his message from the closest people to him including his father, so much so that the women who were seeking a child or cure from a disease would vow to their idols, that they would increase the charcoal and wood used in fueling the fire that was being prepared for Ibrahim.

When the prophet of ALLAH Ibrahim was about to be thrown in the fire, angel Gabriel (may peace and blessings be upon him) came to him and asked if he is in need of anything, Ibrahim replied : "in need of you no, but in need of ALLAH yes". Ibrahim relied only on ALLAH and was not in need of any help or assistance even if it was from the angel of revelation himself (may peace and blessings be upon him).

This was the creed of the pious predecessors throughout history. And verily when Ibrahim was thrown in the flames, ALLAH commanded the fire to be cool and safe on his prophet. Ibrahim then tasted the sweetness of his reliance on the most high.

It wasn't the only time that Ibrahim was tested in his reliance on ALLAH who once commanded him to leave his son Ismael and his mother at a wild place that had no water and no vegetation, just beasts, scorpions and ...... Ismael's mother looked up to Ibrahim and asked him : "Did ALLAH command you to do this" Ibrahim nodded in approval then she said "then he won't leave us.." ALLAHU AKBAR, ALLAHU AKBAR, ALLAHU AKBAR, ALLAHU AKBAR. Quite a different concept of reliance on ALLAH in dealing with her husband's test. May ALLAH bless our Muslim brothers with wives that are only one tenth of what that woman was.
